I was feeling a bit better this morning for the first time in a little while. Still tired though but my body seems to be physically functioning better.

Besides a brilliant fall in a lovely wet puddle of ice and getting completely soaked down my front it was a pretty good session...but inside edge 3 turns suck. I think everyone in our group fell at least once attempting it. My left leg hurt quite a lot though and had to lace my right boot up so tight that it hurt just so the ankle wouldn't collapse. Grrrr. Couldn't practice much after class since there were so many looneys on the ice...

My left calf muscle hurt so I went to the gym instead. The summit trainer is awesome fun but I still would prefer to be running.

Went out with Stephen to escape the horrendous construction noises happening at our flat. Also walked to and from the gym but I can't be bothered logging that.

Had my first alignment at the Chiropractor which wiped me out completely. There is a LOT of damage to my neck and spine according to the scans which is a bit scary.

Up Mt Hobson and back. My calves were too sore to even think of running but I was wide awake so thought the fresh air would do me good.

An awesome session. I can now do an outside edge 3-turn on both sides. Yay!

It was physically exhausting and I felt really awful out there. Half our climb was simply getting from control 8 to 9! Several small mistakes when I was too high or too low really frustrated me. The winds were real strong and I was almost being blown right off the ridge at one stage which was pretty frightening.

Argh, the hills! The first 3 controls were murderous and I struggled amongst all that rock but after that I went okay. Caught Sandra by the 2nd control. She must have hated me always starting a few minutes behind her!

I HATE sprints! Had no energy and completely disoriented myself on controls 4 and 5. Actually suprised I was only 12 seconds behind Sandra after that.

Caught the two others on my grade by control 2 so I have no idea what they did wrong. Then I went and stuffed up 11 by heading off down the marsh instead of the stream. Must have been brain fade! But lost a lot of time there and ended up with a lot more climb to rectify the mistake. Grrrr.

Went to chiropractor today but he's not doing any alignments until next week. GRRR...my neck is trying to kill me. Must remember to avoid hitting any more trees at Labour Weekend!

Cass made us leave early. The ice was good today but I was rather distracted!! My right ankle keeps feeling like it's collapsing inwards when I try edges backwards so I had to keep tying my laces up ridiculously tight.

Tried to find a route that was mostly flat which is kind of hard when you're stuck at the bottom of a hole and all roads lead up. At least it had less climb than usual though! Physically still not feeling great but a hell of a lot better than Sunday's run. No more weird tingley sensations. But if I hit my head on the drying one more time I'm going to scream.

I certainly wasn't feeling that well by the time I started. Ran the whole way but there were definately times I wanted to sit down. Made some stupid route choices through the buildings but I was just glad to finish in one piece!

Walked into town and back and on the way down I walked into a tree (well, my head did anyway) and gave myself mild concussion. Thought I was okay but by midday I was feeling pretty awful. Gotta watch those trees, they spring from nowhere!

Very awesome session today and I wasn't even freezing like normal! 3 turns, backwards edges and all sorts of weird stuff. It was great fun but my legs and feet were really killing me. Would have stayed longer but Cass wanted to go.

The Remuera to Newmarket run with an extra couple of kms added at the start (which almost killed me...what was I thinking?!). Felt dreadfully slow and was running like an unco at the beginning (can I blame the dark here?) but it really wasn't that bad.

Round the Domain from Jono's house. First time we've tried running together and it was pretty successful. Good moderate pace but my stomach has been killing me the last few days. I might have ingested some bloody dairy again at some point and not realised. Grrrr...it hurts.

Putting out controls, putting out sport ident boxes, bringing everything back in again. Lots to carry, not enough arms, running like an unco wearing that sport ident belt! If I really was overweight and carried all that weight around my waist life would be hell! The event seemed to go okay apart from the last minute panic when I realised that one of the control sites I'd checked over a couple of weeks back was no longer accessible!

No class again this week but the first hour was a skate school session again so we had the rink to ourselves. So cool. Worked on my 3 turns until my right leg felt like it was going to collapse. I'm going to get a nasty bruise on my tailbone though!

Grrr, dark mornings again! Oh well, the sky lightens quicker these days too so it's actually mostly light by the time I get back. Bring on the early sun risings though. At least it didn't rain on me but I felt like crap for the first half.
