Orienteering 1:02:15 [1] 3.95 mi (15:46 / mi) +3m 15:43 / mi

More scouting at Champoeg state park. Nice cool temps to be out in and fun to be orienteering! Figured out how to lock my iPad orientation, which was great, but there was no way my compass wanted to work properly around both my iPad (with it's magnetic case) and my iPhone (around for taking GPS coords for Sporteering), so I pretty much gave up on using it.

Vegetation is hard to keep up with at Champoeg. Depends *heavily* on how the state park decides to mow, or not, for a year or two. Unmowed = 4m high blackberry bushes which are completely unpassable (although feature tasty berries this time of year!)

Running 41:25 [1] 2.59 mi (16:00 / mi) +60m 14:55 / mi

Camping for two nights for the first time this summer! Back at Lost Creek on Old Maid Flat, which we like. A chill campsite, not a party zone. Did this run along Lost Creek which kinda has a trail next to it. Don't think it's maintained by anyone, no markings, no clearing of blowdowns, occasionally wearing away at the creekside edge.

Had just gotten far enough to be on the orienteering map I had when it was time to turn around.

Sylvia had a blast both playing in the Sandy River for a bit in the morning and playing some woods-soccer game that she made up as we played it later on in the day. She does do a good job wriggling out of her sleeping bag. The first night, I ended up covering her up with my fleece, the second night we started her wearing her jacket and she stayed warm enough.

Running 25:56 [1] 2.43 mi (10:40 / mi) +62m 9:53 / mi

Hah, Sylvia let me go for a morning run by myself! She stayed home and did some Cosmic Kids yoga. And apparently helped Tom get a splinter out of his foot. At least that was the report upon my return.

Note

Made spinach-ricotta calzones! One of the first times properly cooking since my morning-sickness misery showed up. Because if everything smells *gross* and makes you want to puke, cooking is pretty much impossible. Glad to be able to again!

Stroller jog/run 28:44 [1] 2.55 mi (11:16 / mi) +53m 10:35 / mi

Morning stroller jog. A little longer than past ones! Sooo exciting that I can sleep through the night now without nausea. It is so awesome! That was 9 weeks of getting up 3-4 times a night most nights. Ug.
