What Weather? Challenge

Tough to figure out how this one might work in Portland, OR summer. It really doesn't rain significantly in July and August, so when I saw that we had AM showers predicted for this morning, decided that could be about as bad as it gets during this challenge. The AM showers didn't quite materialize on my original run, but then soon after I came in and made a quesadilla, it started raining! So headed straight back out for a jog around the block. =) At least definitely wouldn't have done those extra 2 min without trying to meet this challenge! Plus, it's the longest run I've done in awhile, since stay-at-home started in March at least!

Running 2:06 [1] 0.24 mi (8:45 / mi)

The bonus rainy part of the run.

New Street Challenge!

Scouted a new road on Google Maps: Fern Ave, a longish cul-de-sac close to the intersection of Flavel Dr. and 62nd. Incorporated into a run I've done other times, but it was a nice enough out-and-back if I ever want to add ~3 min to that loop!

Streak completed!! Psyched I did it, here's onto the next challenge, probably try to get one of the min 60 min ones in over the weekend when it's supposed to be cooler. Want to front-load as much as possible, it's only getting hotter, and potentially smokier.

Oof, got to the bottom of the hill stroller-jogging and then remembered we didn't have the picnic blanket for the park. Sylvia found that unacceptable, so we went back up hill to fetch it. Hung out a bit at Berkeley park eating goldfish after the run.

First day of the "Streaking Challenge" for the CMTR Summer Scavenger Hunt Challenge. The challenge is running over 45 min for three days in a row, in case you haven't been following Cristina's log. =) It motivated me to stay out for about 10 min longer than I have been, on a hot day.

Route involved staying in the shade as much as possible. Legs pretty tired from yesterday's bike.
