Orienteering 8:39 [2] 1.0 mi (8:39 / mi)
15c

Ed's sprint Ross+Sam's post-wedding cookout! Saw the map and really, who could resist giving it a try even if wearing corduroys and clogs... meant I was a little less ferocious through the green, but yeah, that cold air was felt on the sore throat!

A note that Tom had totally gained on me halfway through the course, eep! But then the hill happened...

(sick)

Gave a too-long midterm, which is just not good for anyone, but ok, I'll learn I suppose!

After grading almost all, sent myself home while it was still light for a jog around the canyon. Met up with math prof and also avid runner Kyle who was running his and Sarah's new puppy Aesop, so joined them for the latter half, plus a little stint down Reed College place sans Aesop.

Definitely some sort of cold, hoping it passes very, very quickly!!

Running 34:30 intensity: (23:00 @2) + (11:30 @4) 45.0 mi (46 / mi)

Tom's Flagstaff track workout, squeezed into a minimal lunchtime. Then onto teaching work, gravity, exoplanets and blackholes, oh my!

4 x 30s with 60s rest
3 x 60s with 75s rest
1 x 90s with 105s rest
3 x 60s with 75s rest
4 x 30s with 60s rest

Scratchy throat towards to start and end the day, think it's an actual illness, boo!

Strength 12:00 [1]

Evening core to get a little something in. Taught about one of my favorite things today - degeneracy pressure in white dwarfs and neutron stars. It still just is so cool to see how it comes out that when you add mass their radii shrink.
