Up all night with stomach flu :( No chance of racing MTS today. Instead spent the day in bed trying to keep some fluids down. Not the best way to loose 5-6 Lbs, plus it will all come straight back on as its all fluids :(

Easy paddle during the race class. I paddled a Hawk, and just took it easy, working on balance. We paddled just over 6 miles on the river as 3K warmup, then 2 x 1K and 4 x 500m followed by 2K cooldown.

Same exercises, included internal & external rotations for my shoulders, and increased reps again. Will drop back to 3 x per week next week now ive got everything moving again.

Paddled the Thunder K1 tonight. Struggled with balance on the way out due to a stiff tail wind, but after turning it was much better. I was also struggling with my foot position which was throwing my balance of a bit. I ended up stopping and adjusting the rudder lines to center the tiller bar, after hat it was even better. I finished with 4 x 200 m as fast as I could, and most of them were actually pretty good. A quick glance at my Garmin 305 showed > 6.5 mph :) If I could do that from the start it would be awesome. This boat is so fast, and I am finally starting to feel like I can almost paddle it somewhat properly.

Rough nite as one of my kids was sick, so I sat up with her for a couple of hours thru the nite.

ran with Michelle. Nice steady pace. It was good n hot again, so HR was higher than normal for the pace. Great run. No obvious problems even with the sore legs from past 2 days of leg work.

More legs, shoulder rehab, then arms & shoulders. legs are sore fter yesterday, hopefully still got enough time to fully recover before the race on Sunday?

Nice easy paddle in the Thunder K1. Worked on balance thru foot pressure. Went pretty well, but did have a couple of real wobbly spots. Finished with a couple of starts, one good, one bad.
