Running race 1:34:00 [4]

Sulphur relay. First leg so an early start. Woke up with a sore throat and headache and the curse of always getting sick in May continues. Too late to call in a replacement so a cocktail of meds and I was on my qay. Hung on to Al for the first part but let him get a gap in each uphill but made sure to close them. Took over the pace going down to Burlington Runners bridge and lead the way until 1k or so past Martins Rd when Al passed and after that I couldn't close the gap anymore but I kept him within sight all the way pretty much. Muddiest version of the relay I have run so far and the new course layout definitely added to the pain.

Orienteering 41:00 [3]

So much for resting for SS. Grabbed a last minute opening to do the first x league for the year and veni, vidi, vici. Not without mistakes though. Ran without compass and had some troubles a couple of times going the in the right direction.

Running 42:00 [3]

I was in the neighbourhood and decided to run the Sulphur 10k, although Garmin says it is just under 9k. I tried to run in a controlled fashion but still got pretty tired up to Farmer's field and really tired up Martin's Rd. All in all, with some rest 95 min on Saturday seems to be a good goal.
