Orienteering 1:57:00 [3]
Long at WP. Turkey Mtn was the area and I think this was the first time I ran here. Legs were a bit tired from yesterday but not too bad. Foot was so and so but I had pout on tape, wore my ankle support and had popped a few pills as well. It lasted just over three minutes...but very successful three minutes. I had the fastest split to number one, I just went straight and nailed it, but in the first serious downhill my foot pretty much immediately gave up and the long, slow part of the race started which lasted another 110 minutes or so. Did a couple of mistakes but not the 15 min that AP suggests. That was just me walking. I had a few decent controls in the somewhat flatter area and didn't lose too much time there; I ran even with most others. I should probably have stopped early on (or better, not started at all) but it is hard when you know great orienteering is ahead of you and you have driven so far.
