In to work. A bit more pressure on the pedals than the usual morning ride.

Easy spin over to the park and then about an hour of laps around the park.

Tuesday Night Worlds, Race 1. Put my face in the wind a couple times to close down some moves and both efforts were immediately followed with a remorse the likes of which I haven't felt in quite some time. I've rarely been so happy just to finish with the group. Not all of this was bad form on my part; the field was smaller than usual (probably around 60) and the wind was from the south, which always results in some hectic every-man-for-himself moments. However, everything did hang together, and with three laps to go I found myself in reasonably good shape so I decided to push up to the front. I didn't have the legs to get off the front and I have not magically acquired a sprint, so the best I could do was get to the front and try not to get passed by too many folks in the last 200m. This strategy didn't work particularly well, but it was a good mental exercise to push at the end of a race that I was clearly not ready for.

Home in the 89. Definitely big gear work, but not too hard given the south wind. Next month (95) should be OK, but I'll need a flatter route in June if I'm going to turn the 102 all the way home into a west wind.
