orienteering 1:10:00 [2] ***

I ran a course at the Perry Trails and did a bit of extra exploring. I felt slow. No, I was slow AND I felt slow. Every bit of rough terrain or up hill was a chore.
My orienteering feels rusty.
I found a little bit of fence that should be on the map. I stopped, sketched it in, and will add it to the map.
I need a Thanksgiving break project. I was planning to take some time to update parts of the Overlook map and set out tapes for the December night O'. But we postponed the event. The local health department recommends no gatherings of more than 10 people (down from 15 a week or so earlier and 45 most of the year). I think the rule only applies if proper social distancing can't be done. But, I think we should be extra cautious and considered the 45 and 15 as limits. Anyways, it seems like the best decision. But, it means I don't need to update the map and hang tapes. So what to do?

Note
A note about Covid-19. One risk is that you get sick. Another risk is that you infect someone else. Another is that you get yourself in a situation where the local contact tracers have to trace you. That's a different kind of risk. But it makes a difference. If you can avoid being someone the health department has to find and talk to, you can free up those resources. That's one of the reasons to avoid larger groups (even if large is just 15 people).
