running 1:30:00 [2]

Mary and I went out to Clinton to run on the north shore trails. Mary ran a course that used trails. I just ran on the trails and carried a map, looking at it from time to time.

I hadn't run those trails in a long time. It was interesting to see how they'd recovered after last summer's flooding. The trail was in great shape. The woods that were underwater look junky with lots of grass and other vegetation up to about 1.5 meters above the ground.

running 20:00 [2]

An easy jog. Yesterday felt like summer (low 80s). Today like winter (low/mid 40s).

Dinner was stew with carrots, onions, beans and Italian sausage.

cycling 10:00 [1]

I wouldn't normally log something like this but:

(a) Cristina-bot has been hassling me and I need some minutes; and
(b) I biked over to the ballot drop and voted...and that seems like a good thing to log.

MTB cycling 50:00 [1]

I road the MTB on pavement. Fun. I saw Ron and stopped to say hello. Otherwise, nothing noteworthy about the ride.

I shuffled around on West Campus. I wore a light jacket and was sure I was overdressed. But I wasn't.

running 1:30:00 [2]

Mary and I went out to the Perry Trails area. I ran on the trails and carried the map, reading it a lot. I spotted a couple of places where I need to make a few changes. Running was nice, but my legs got tired. When I came to a hill or a rocky bit of trail, I slowed way down.

I ran in my running shoes. I should have worn orienteering shoes. The leaves were a bit slippery in running shoes. I'm also a lot more comfortable running on the rocky bits of trails in O' shoes.

I hadn't run at Perry Trails since February 2018. The flooding last year resulted in some changes to the peninsula. But, most of the map didn't have much damage/change from the flooding. At some point since Feb 2018, a storm knocked over some large trees.
