I struggled to understand the contours in the first couple of legs. I missed the 1st control when I looked up and thought the reentrant wasn't right. I was so confused by how it looked compared to what I expected that I went back and tried again.
My calf was ok, a little tight near the end. I think I eased off on the effort as a way of subconciously protecting my calf. But the motivation also was a bit low after a big miss at the first control.
Short and easy night-ish session on the map that covers out neighborhood and Holcom Park. Fun. Almost all of the snow melted today, but there were still some icy cold puddles to run through.
Slow and easy at Rockcrusher. The snow was fun, but also slippery. I like neoprene socks on a day like this.
My goal was to put out 7 mini-markers for an orienteering training course. The markers will be out until February 8 so people can get out and do a little practice.
Three little courses on West Campus. The snow made it slow, but it was really fun to run in the snow. My brain was working pretty well. My calf was ok. But afterwards my calf feels a little bit tight or something.
