I ran with a map at the Riverfront Park (the old city dump along the river). My main goals were to avoid knee deep icy water, avoid knee deep mud, and see if the river was low enough to explore the big sand bar. I was successful.
I spent almost 20 minutes shuffling around on the sand bar looking for bones. I found a lot of small bone bits and a few more intact bones. I'd been hoping to find something more interesting.
Left the office a bit early today and got in a run before the sun set. I shuffled around on West Campus. It didn't feel very good, but it was nice to be outside.
When I was waiting to cross Clinton Parkway, I heard a small explosion. It turned out it was some electrical equipment (maybe a transformer?) exploding. Instead of baking some salmon when I got home, I made a sandwich. We sat in the dark for a few hours while "Evergy" (the new company from the Westar/KCPL merger) got the power going. They were working late into the night and making a lot of noise. I slept through most of the noise, but it kept Mary up.
I finished all of the grading and posted the results to Blackboard. I also potsed the final grades to the "Enroll and Pay" system. At least I think I did. It is a different system and I'm not entirely sure it worked.
Snow! I shuffled around in about 2-3 inches of snow (with more falling) on West Campus. I took frequent walk breaks. West Campus is nice in the snow. Actually, it is nice year round, but the snow makes things look better.
I hadn't been to Ulrik's Hill in a while. They've blocked off the road with concrete barriers.
As I was running, I was day dreaming about the old days (before the bush honeysuckle) when you could actually run in the woods. The woods were thick and junky, but you could get through. You can't really do that anymore.

Snow shoveling. I'll need to shovel again. Maybe later today or maybe I'll wait till tomorrow morning.

Snow has stopped, so I did another shoveling session. The forecast seems to call for more snow tomorrow morning.
