PTOC at Kill Creek. Reed set the courses and it was his first time setting non-score courses. It was fun, but simple orienteering. I worked pretty hard. I was way behind be-the-map, but snuck in ahead of Scott N by 30 seconds.
I think orienteering could use more easy courses - courses where the controls aren't hard to find, the route choices are straightforward, but the real test it to push the pace. It isn't really my favorite sort of orienteering, but it is good to do.

Easy warm up jog.

Easy, or at least slow, run to pick up some markers.
I biked out to the nature center at the Baker Wetlands. There must have been something going on out there, the parking lot was full. Nice evening to be riding. I had my bike lights on and that was a good idea.
Jogging to/from the start and finish on West Campus.

I jogged through the course that Mary ran yesterday. She drew a bunch of uncrossable walls on the map to force some different route choice options. That is always fun for a familiar area.
I ran with my new compass.
There was a lot more traffic on West Campus than usual because of tonight's baskteball game.
