Saturday Jun 9 #

10 AM

cycling 1:05:00 [1]

I wasn't sure what I'd feel like, so I took things easier than usual. Yesterday I started feeling a bit off. When I got home, I had a light headache. I took some Ibuprofen and napped for 20 minutes. Then I ate dinner. Then I napped for 30 minutes. I went to bed before 9 and slept 10 hours.

I felt near normal this morning. So I decided a bike/run/bike at an easy effort would probably feel ok. And it did.

On the way home I briefly visited the Frisbee dog competition at the soccer fields by the arboretum. They were doing some sort of distance competition where someone would throw the Frisbee, the dog would race to catch it, and if the dog caught it cleanly, they'd measure the distance. It wasn't clear how many throws they got, but it was several. At the end of each round, the lowest distance dog/thrower team would get dropped.

On the trails at Clinton. Super easy and felt ok, but not quite normal. It feels like something was wrong yesterday and I was a bit worn out from that. Strange.

cycling 45:00 [1]

I rolled around on my bike on the roads. Not much, but felt good to move around a bit.

Wednesday Jun 6 #

running 20:00 [2]

I managed to get myself out the door for a bit of a jog. Hot day made it less comfortable, but it feels good that I didn't just skip the run.

running 25:00 [2]

A short jog on West Campus. It was hot. When I got home, I relaxed a little bit and then mowed the lawn. It was hot. There was also a bit of pollen in the air and I felt a bit of allergy stuff.

To/from the overlook on my commuter bike on the bike paths.

The weather was nice - upper 70s and low humidity. It felt great.

running 1:10:00 [2]

Gentle pace on the trails from the overlook. I only saw one othe runner and one MTBer, but I saw a bunch of hikers.

I expected to encounter some fallen trees after Friday night's storm and after reading the LMBC reports about the river trails, but the trail was fine.

Just as I finished, Mary was finishing her O' session. That was fun and unexpected. I would have guessed she was in her sewing room.
