running 2:00:00 intensity: (1:45:00 @2) + (15:00 @4)

Long and mostly easy run on the trails at Perry. I carried my current map and did a good bit of map reading. The current map is KP + trails added from lidar data (using a ground slope image to get a lot of the trails). I'm going to add more trails, initially from GPS tracks and then go back and adjust them as needed. The vegetation from the newer lidar is good. I plan to just start by using polygonize to add the vegetation and then tweak it over time.

I did 3x HU/ML/HE.

I saw Blair and Carrie out there. They were mountain biking.

Fun session and I felt pretty good.

MTB cycling 40:00 [1]

Rolling around on my MTB on the pavement until it started seeming like I'd better get home before it was dark.

running 1:30:00 [2]

I shuffled around with a KP map in my hands at Lexington Lake. It was fun. The temp was pretty warm (upper 70s) when I started, but the temp was falling and it was much more pleasant when I finished (maybe mid/upper 60s?).

I think this is going to be a regular head lamp running spot this winter.

running 50:00 [2]

Trails at Lexington Lake. I think this will be a nice, but small, place to have some orienteering. The woods aren't too terrible. The trail network add some route choice options. The facilities - parking, restrooms, shelters - look decent.

running 2:35:00 [2]

Trail run at Perry with a KP map that didn't include any trails. I read the map quite a bit, but also a bit roughly.

I kept the pace easy, but after 90 minutes started feeling a little tired and then after 2 hours concentration was hard. I'm going to struggle with the Possum Trot, but a couple more 90+ minute runs in the next few weeks should help.

After a warm and humid Saturday, a cold front went through and the temps were nice for running. It was about 50 when I started and maybe 60 when I finished. It really makes running a lot easier when the temps are reasonable.

I used the 2015 lidar for the KP map. The previous map used 2006 lidar. The new lidar vegetation is quite good.
