running 55:00 [2]

I set up a training course for Mary at Sunflower Nature Park. While she warmed up, I hung some tapes to mark controls (only the even numbered controls). Then I started Mary and followed her progress around the course, taking a few photos.

And after Mary was done, I picked up the tapes.

The map is in-progress. Unfortunately, there was a key mowed path that I hadn't yet added to the map. That caused Mary to make a mistake.

running 30:00 [1]

I went for a short and easy jog on west campus. It seemed like I was chasing a red tailed hawk.

Today would have been Dad's 86th birthday. I jogged by Pioneer Cemetery and thought about him a bit.

Note

No time for exercise after work - met with a couple of other auditors to do some planning for next spring's KU class on performance audit.

Jogging around a bit.

I jogged through a sprint-like course on the in-progress map at Sunflower Nature Park.

I was hoping to run in the rain, but the rain stopped. I need more practice at dealing with map reading and navigation when it is raining and I'm wearing glasses.

MTB on the roads to/from Ulrik's Hill.

running 25:00 intensity: (15:00 @2) + (10:00 @4)

Jogging, including 3 x Half Ulrik's Hill. My legs felt heavy and slow. I wasn't moving well. It was hot.

Note

Spent about 45 minutes doing some field checking at Sunflower Nature Park. Hot...again...I"m really tired of this crappy weather.

To/from the river trail and some time on the river trail. Nice temps (upper 60s) and that really felt great. Legs felt better than I'd expected. I guess some of that is the nice temp.

I saw a bald eagle at Mud Creek.
