Ft Lev Adventures' first event of the new season - score orienteering on the AR map on a mix of pavement, grass and trails (even a few steps in the terrain). Fun, but I took it pretty easy and had a few stops or strange route choices related to checking out bits of the map. When I got home I made a few changes/additions/corrections to the map.

running 1:00:00 [2]

I shuffled around at Sunflower Nature Park. It ended up being longer than I'd expected...time flies when you drop something on your run and retrace your steps trying to find it.

running 40:00 [2]

Another jog with stops to add stuff to the map at Sunflower Nature Park.

The park isn't especially nice or interesting, but mapping is always fun (assuming decent base map) and we'll be able to make some use of the park for a sprint or some training.

Nice weather - time in the mid 60s. It felt very nice.

I shuffled around at Sunflower Nature Park between DeSoto and Eudora. I stopped frequently and made a few notes on a KP map. I'm going to do a quick ISSOM map of the park.

MTB cycling 2:05:00 [1]

MTB on roads, gravel, levee and single track. The river trail is in very good shape and I felt like I was moving pretty well. I did the sugar loop, which seemed easier than usual (probably a bit less sand?).

I was worried I'd feel terrible. My legs felt dead when I got up this morning and the first 15 minutes of the ride was not so good. But, then I seemed to start to feel better. The last 20 minutes or so (starting with the climb of Mt Oread on Mississippi Street) was a bit tough.

I think we're expecting one more day of summer-like temps.
