Trail run at Clinton State Park. It felt good. The comfortable temps helped.
A couple of minutes before I left the house, I looked at Twitter and saw that the latest Radio Oringen podcast had just been posted a few minutes earlier. I downloaded it and listened to it for the first half of the run.
I ate one Gu at about an hour. It seemed to help a little. I bought some Gu last week at Ad Astra. I like the Watermelon flavor.
I carried the map and looked at it, but mostly just ran.
Work commute. I thought about getting out the door for a short run, but was more interested in watching the entire baseball game and didn't really have enough time to jog and make dinner before the first pitch. So, I didn't run and watched the Royals instead.
Wednesday hills with the Trailhawks. I arrived early and planned to do 2 hill loops before the 6:30 group run started. After one loop, I spotted Matt who was going to run a bit on the trails on his own. I tagged along. Matt runs faster than I do and he dusted me on the hill from the picnic table to the trail head.
I ran 2 loops with the Trailhawks, then left when they continued because I wanted to get home and watch the Royals.
MTB on the river trails. I haven't crashed my bike in quite a while. I almost did at one point when on a tight turn my front tire hit a rut or a root or something.
I felt like running somewhere different for a change, so I went to Woodridge. I haven't run there since the spring. The trail was in good shape with a few places where some high grass was next to the trail. I also noted that the fields looked not-too-terrible (but also not cut like the fields in the state park).
I added karttapullautin vegetation as a template to the existing map. That gave me some things to look at as I ran.
Warm. Temps got up in the 80s today.
Legs were a bit shot from yesterday's run.
I thought about a MTB ride in the afternoon. But with getting some groceries and cooking dinner (Dad and Pam came over to celebrate Dad's birthday), I didn't really have the energy.
