On the way back I smelled smoke. Then I caught up to a guy on a MTB and smoking a pipe as hike biked the trail. I recognized him, but I can't quite place him.
Hill run with the Trailhawks at Clinton. The route is from the trailhead down the old gravel road, then climb up to the top of Sanders Mound, then down Sanders Mound and climb back up the old gravel road to the trailhead. Repeat that. I did 3x. That felt like enough for a first hill run of the season.
It seemed like a good crowd of people (maybe 15-20 in total?).
If my motivation stays good, I'm going to try to run these sessions Wednesday evenings.
Matt Q seems to lead the group. He's a lot fitter than he was when we ran Ulrik's Hill a couple of years ago.

Got my flu shot today. I think it was the non-cell culture flu vaccine from Novartis.
I was in Olathe all day for some training. On the way home I stopped at Kill Creek and did a trail run with the map in my hand. The park was mostly empty and the weather was comfortable. The trails are in good shape. It was fun and felt good.
Trail run at Clinton. Very pleasant weather - maybe mid/upper 50s. It is amazing how much better it feels to run when the weather isn't hot.
Part of the run I listened (actually re-listened) to the latest Radio Oringen podcast interview with Lars Lindstrom. I have a feeling that Lindstrom would be more interesting in Danish, but it'd have taken me listening to it 5x to try to understand. So, I guess I'm glad it was in English.

I messed up the time conversion and sat down to watch today's sprint relay just in time to see the last few controls of the last leg. Instead, I waited until the NY Giants game was over and then watch the sprint relay as a re-run.
