Note

I plan to do something a little bit physical today to see how that feels. I was just about to get ready to go for a hike when Zorig texted. Instead of the hike, I was off to help Zorig. His dorm at KU closes over the holidays and he needed help moving to a friend's apartment. It is always a small adventure. Current plan is a hike in the afternoon (after the KU-Georgetown game).

I map-hiked through the course at Rockcrusher. I took the controls in reverse order and as isovist training. It felt very nice to be outside and moving. I'm still not well, but I don't think I did any damage and it felt great to be out in the wood and with a map in my hand.

I left as soon as the KU game was over. That meant I left as soon as the freezing rain/sleet/drizzle started.

Note

I got worn out walking around the house this morning helping Mary look for her shoes. Weird. I felt quite out of it most of the day.

Work commute. I felt ok. I'm not breathing well and I'm a bit tired, but I don't think I'm going to get any worse from doing a little easy biking.

When I recover from being sick I always think, "OK, I'm fine today." Then the next day I think, "actually I was still not normal yesterday, but today I'm fine." and so on.

I'll try biking again tomorrow and maybe get in a little jog on Friday.

I'm letting the OTC cold meds wear off for the first time in several days. I'm hoping that I don't feel too terrible. If things go well, I might bike to work tomorrow, which would be my most strenuous exercise since this cold began.

Note

Slept 9.5 hours last night but would have slept more if the alarm hadn't gone off. I generally felt pretty good all day. Breathing is still not so good and I've got crud in my lungs. But I'm feeling better as time goes. The lungs being cruddy sucks.

Slept only 10 hours last night and currently feeling good enough to do some map drafting.
