Kartlek at the riverfront park map that I made a few years ago. My legs felt tired from two days of running in the woods and I figured the riverfront area was about all my legs would be ready for. I took plenty of stops to look at the map. I also found something odd:
A training course at the Perry bike trails. I like this area. The woods aren't too bad. The trail network is a bit interesting. The course wasn't especially hilly, but by the end my watch showed 247 m of climb. That's a fair amount for around here and for not doing anything to try to get climb.
I had one big parallel error. My navigation definitely feels a lack of racing - not sharp.
I put out some mini-markers for a training course at Rockcrusher. I figure I'll leave the markers out for a few weeks and make the map available to anyone who might want to do some practice. The woods were a bit rougher than I remember.

Some mindless joggging when I wasn't looking at the map.
Checking some legs, control locations and features at Woodridge. I'm setting courses for the January 1st meet. I've also got to finish the new map (or we can just use the old map).
I've got a few tweaks to the draft courses to make them a little more pleasant. I think the courses will be fast because the area isn't especially hilly and there's plent of open running (field). I'd like the bits in the woods to be in the nicer areas and I think I've mostly succeeded with that.
I wasn't moving quickly.
