Trail run at Clinton overlook. Slow and didn't feel very good.

MTB Orienteering training. Mary designed a short course. Fun. I learned a few things about the map which will help me make maps using the MTB O' mapping standards. I struggle to look around at the terrain while I'm riding. I can manage to look at the map better than I expected (and keep track of my location without having to have the map in my hand).

MTB cycling 35:00 [1]

After the MTB O' training I did a bit more riding.

cycling 1:25:00 [1]

Work commute + an easy ride with Mary on the bike path to Iowa.

The ride to work was very nice - reasonable temperature and a cool rain!

MTB ride on the river trails after work. Fun. I'm improving every time I ride. That's satisfying.

I saw a bald eagle on the Kaw.

MTB ride on the trails at the overlook. I'm not a very good MTB rider, but I'm good enough to have some fun on the trails.

running 1:25:00 [2]

Trail run at Clinton overlook. We got out by 8 a.m. - early enough that the weather was ok, late enough that almost all of the spiderwebs had been removed by earlier trail users.

Kartlek - I carried the O' map and made some notes on the trails. I'm going to create a MTB O' map of the area and needed to map the trails for MTB O' standards. Most of the rest of the work is just to remove some features and details and change the black features to grey.
