PTOC sprint at English Landing. It was kind of hot.
I didn't warm up because I just didn't have the energy to shuffle around and warm up. I started and tried to pick up the effort on the first few controls. By the third control I think I was working pretty hard. But, I was still not really pushing the way one would if it were cooler out.
In retrospect, I should have warmed up and pushed a bit harder. Matt B was 39 seconds ahead.
The orienteering was straightforward. I had a bit of hesitation at 1. I went about 30 degrees off line on the way to 10. I corrected it quickly, but it felt like a mental slip even if it probably didn't cost more than a couple of seconds.

Funny to think about the contrast between today's sweaty, hot, not-super-interesting orienteering and the middle distance race in Nuuk today.
