I test ran a course that Fritz set at Rockcrusher. It was physical - hilly with some junky forest. I wasn't moving very well, but I managed to keep moving.
This might help inspire me to get some folks together to make a good map of that park.

Work commute with a stop for the Mayor's holiday party. The temp had dropped by the time I left and it was pretty cold for the trip home - I worked hard to stay warm.
Slow headlamp jog on the trails at Clinton. I expected to see some trailhawks, but they didn't seem to be out. My legs are still worn out from Sunday.
I also read Bill James' analysis of Rick Perry. The entire essay is worth a read. Here's the concluding paragraph:
"The real lesson of the Rick Perry campaign is that the Bill McKay scenario is a cynical myth, at least at the level of the Presidency; you can’t actually make some vacuous random alpha male into a credible candidate, at all. They couldn’t do it with John Edwards—although they came closer—and they couldn’t do it with Rick Perry. The system is not so easy to manipulate, after all."
The Trot XV. I started slow and steady and was doing ok until about the second water stop. From then on, I was moving really slowly. I worked pretty hard (still slow, though) to keep from being caught from behind in the last 2 km.
