Note

KU student TV covered Thursday's Geo Awareness Week event. I think they did a good job:

running 1:00:00 [2]

Trail run at Clinton. I carried the map. I set my Garmin to beep based on distances - 400 meters, then 130 meters, and so on. During the 400 meter segments, I read the map in great detail. During the 130 meter segments, I just jogged and didn't look at the map. I need to get out there sometime and tweak the trails. I put the trails in through a mix of sketching + GPS on the contours. But with the full laser scan data and OL Laser, I've got better base material and the trail could use some minor changes (here and there the trail will be on the wrong side of a tree, for example).

Note

At the airport and starting to travel home. I'd hoped to get in a bit more than 20 minutes of jogging this week. That didn't happen. Work went really well, though.

running 20:00 [2]

I drew a sprintish course on the "downtown walking map" and jogged around the course first thing in the morning. Fun.

Note

Some travel problem yesterday meant too little sleep and more travel today. Resting today. If I wake up early a morning jog tomorrow is possible.

running 1:00:00 intensity: (40:00 @2) + (20:00 @4)

Trail run at Clinton with the map in my hand. I also did 20 at an honest effort as 70/20s. Felt ok but I've definitely taken a step back since 6-7 weeks ago.
