running 25:00 [2]

Easy jogging on the trails at "Nature Park." I carried the base map and looked at it quite a bit.

The idea of this run was to see how I'd feel to help decide if I'd go to SMP for tonight's PTOC night O' practice. I didn't feel great, but good enough that I plan to make the trip over to SMP this evening.

Mary seems to have caught the cold that I had. Sorry.

PTOC night O' practice at SMP. Fun course even if some of the woods were a bit junky and my health isn't what it should be.

Work commute.

running 20:00 [2]

Slow jog on pavement. It felt great to be out and moving. It felt terrible to pound my soft leg muscles on the pavement.

cycling 45:00 [1]

Work commute - the first below-freezing commute of the season.

The jacket I got in Iceland is perfect for bike commuting in chilly weather. Funny that it was part of 66 North's "summer collection."

Note

On the illness front...Last night I was awake until a bit after 9 p.m. That hasn't happened in a while. I also slept for just over 9 hours (which is a good bit less than I've been sleeping recently). I also didn't wake up in the middle of the night coughing. So I'm on the right track.

I spent a little time checking out one of my all time favorite maps:

1981 WOC.

Back when I did a lot of map study, this was one of the maps I spent a lot of time looking at.

Easy work commute. I'm still feeling a bit crappy, but I really need to get outside and an easy commute seemed like something that wouldn't be too terrible. Nice, cool, weather.

Note

I'm at the rapidly-improving stage of the end of my cold. The cold medicine wore off and I barely noticed. My mind is surprisingly clear. It is almost 7:30 p.m. and I'm not having trouble staying awake. I'm still not normal, but I'm thinking I might be up for biking to work tomorrow.
