orienteering 20:00 [2] ***
9c

Testing some legs for the upcoming West Campus sprint. I think the course needs to be a little longer and I'm not sure if I want to send runners on any of the trails. We'll see.

I also did a bit of easy cycling today - went with Mary and Susan on the bike trail and then to/from the start on West Campus.

Today was the first day of the year where it started to feel like summer - warm and humid. Today was also the Trailhawks marathon and 50 mile trail race. That'd have been pretty tough.

cycling 44:00 [1]

It was bike to work day. Sunflower was providing coffee, juice, and snacks to bike commuters. I stopped for a coffee and then joined Jonathan for the last 2 blocks of the commute.

After work, I met Mary and her sister Susan for dinner at Esquina and then biked home.

Here's the video of my stop for coffee and biking to work:

cycling 45:00 [1]

Back to the usual routine after a really good few days in Texas.

The trip to work was in a very light rain. The trip home was in a steady rain that was getting a bit heavy by the time I got home.

Today was supposed to be some sort of employee health/wellness day, with a bike ride around lunch (3.5 miles). The rain canceled the ride, but we had a healthy-ish lunch.

rowing 20:00 [1]

Row, row.

running 50:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (30:00 @2) + (10:00 @4)

I went for a jog in the am. It was muggy but only about 72 F. I'm not sure how people manage to run through the summer I'm TX. Most of my run was on the Riverwalk. I finished with ten+ at an honest effort.

I also put in quite a bit of walking today.
