running 25:00 [2]

A bit of running to double check controls for today's sprint on West Campus.

running 30:00 [2]

Some easy jogging with the headlamp on West Campus. A little slick out there. A little cold, too. But, not nearly as cold as it was yesterday.

Slept almost 10 hours last night and feel much better today.

rowing 20:00 [1]

Sleepy all day. Just a little bit on the landboat. Plan for the rest of the evening is to watch the Jayhawks. Will have to watch the final episode of Top Chef "on demand" instead of tonight.

orienteering 45:00 [2] ***
18c

Jogged over to West Campus and around Fritz' course for the weekend.

It was snowing a bit while I was running. Temp around 30. Really nice conditions to be out for a bit of night orienteering. A few problems with fogged up glasses, but not really too bad.

I could probably credit myself for a little bit of strength training for shoveling the driveway.

cycling 45:00 [1]

Just the work commute and nothing else.

I'm thinking I might have to drive to work tomorrow. Forecast calls for 100 percent chance for snow until noon, followed by snow/sleet.

One the ride home tonight my fingers got cold even though I was wearing my lobster gloves. It might have had something to do with residual cold from freezing all day in my office. I work a coat at my desk most of the day and wore gloves when I wasn't actually typing on the keyboard. Never really felt comfortable.

running 1:30:00 [2]

Ran the river trails with Gene and Raymond. Really nice run. Probably Raymond's last run on the river trails before he heads home.

We collected GPS tracks to give to the Parks Department for their trail mapping.

Went out for bagels after the run. I had sun dried tomato, toasted, with smoked salmon cream cheese.

Note

Put in about 90 minutes of fieldchecking on the overlook map. As usual, spent some time in really junky terrain. I stopped when it began to rain. But by the time I got back to the car the rain had stopped. Came home anyway.
