Rochester middle distance. Clean but slow. Fun orienteering.

running 20:00 [2]

Short jog on the river trails. Warm today - 75 and humid. I cut the run quite short to make sure I'd have time to mow before it began to rain. It looked like it would rain. Turned out it didn't.

Tired and sleepy today - mostly from staying up too late (City Commission meeting went a bit later than I like) and not sleeping well (forgot allergy meds).

running 1:30:00 [2]

Ran on the bike trails at Perry Lake. I carried the 4 meter contour map and kept a careful eye on the map. Mapping the area might be a good project for next winter.

After the run, Mary and I went to Lawrence and watched the basketball parade. I was living in Linkoping back in 1988 and missed that parade. Lots of Lawrence folks talk about how cool the parade was. So, I figured I couldn't miss this year's parage. The LJW is reporting a crowd of 100,000. Not sure about that, but it was certainly a big crowd. The feeling in the town was very good. The parade highlight was probably seeing Russel Robinson with a huge grin and holding up the trophy.
