running 30:00 [2]

Jogging at Wyandotte - mostly on the roads, actually.

I saw a big hawk carrying away some sort of small furry animal. Maybe it was a groundhog.

2 x 20 minutes of line O'. The first stretch was really thick, crappy forest (but relatively few thorns). I ran with a GPS and put the track into QuickRoute where I could see just how slowly I was moving through the thick stuff. The second stretch was much nicer and I was able to move at a reasonable pace. My effort was just a little bit below a normal race effort.

running 40:00 [2]

Jogging around - most of it on trails, some in the terrain - at Clinton State Park. A few light snow flurries, but nothing like the predicted 5 inches of snow.

A short O' practice course at Clinton SP. Fun.

Note

I don't get to say this very often...today, I didn't train BUT SNORKEL DID!

running 20:00 [2]

Jogging around a bit. Strange weather today. When the alarm went off at 6:30, it was 54 degrees. When I ran after work it was 15 with a strong wind and an inch or so of snow on the ground. Running across the fields was cold.

A corridor O' course at SMP. It was still light enough that I could run for the first 15 minutes without turning on the headlamp.

I jogged around Mary's SMP test course. Fun.

I got a bit tired by the end (despite an easy effort).

Warm today - mid 50s (?) - but the ground was still frozen. The park was full of people enjoying the warm weather.
