Easy pace O' practice - taking a few control locations...

Testing route choice options (4 options) on a fairly short leg. I ran at a hard effort. Fun.

Just about the minimum needed to warm up at Bonner Park.

A short night O' course at Bonner Park (easy, park O' terrain). I designed the course with lots of direction changes and short legs to force me to look at the map. I ran with my little Petzl instead of the big Silva headlamp. That actually made it a bit more tricky because I couldn't see as far.

From the car to the start and then back to the car.

Night O' in the forest north of the marina at SMP. I felt ok most of the time, but near the end I started to feel strange - I guess I'm not quite over whatever was giving me trouble the last couple of days. The forest seemed unusually dark tonight. I caught glimpses of a headlamp in the distance a few times. It was Mary.

Note

Something is wrong with me. Whatever the problem was yesterday is still a problem today (though I'm a good bit better today). I'll hope everything is back to normal tomorrow.

Jogging around to warm up and so on...

PTOC one-hour score O' from the Walnut Grove area at SMP. Nick set a nice course. I felt a bit strange while running - good for the first 1/3rd, struggling for the middle 1/3rd, and then decent for the last 1/3rd.

Turn out was good - both a popular park and warm weather (must have been near 60 degrees).
