running 1:30:00 [2]

I made it over to Wyandotte to the hill before it got too hot. Which is not to say it was comfortable out there. I shuffled slowly up and down the hill. Legs felt pretty good.

I ran with my Ipod and listened to a lecture by Phillip Tetlock - interesting stuff and made the time pass quickly:

The run was a great way to work up an appetite for lunch with Mom, Ron, and the OL at Aixois.

Short jog at PNS. It felt pretty good.

cycling 30:00 [1]

The plan was to jog on the way home from work.

But it was hot and humid, no wind, and an "o-zone alert." On top of all of that, I forget to put my running shoes in the car.

A short time on the trainer seemed a reasonable alternative.

I met Nadim at Loose Park after work. We jogged around the park to warm up and after running the course we jogged around the course again.

Ran the course from the PTOC sprint earlier this year. I must have been out of town when the event took place. I can't remember where I was. Maybe it was when I went to the Peer Review Committee meeting in Phoenix.

Anyways, it was fun even if the course wasn't super interesting.

After running the course at something like an honest effort, we jogged the course. Nadim explained how it is easier to run uphill when you're running fast. I'm not exactly sure I understand it, but then again I didn't really understand the cookie diet the first time Nadim explained it to me.

running 45:00 [2]

Nadim is in town. We met him after work at the tennis courts at SMP. Nadim and I shuffled around the mtb trails, carrying the mtb map and looking at it now and then.

The park dept. is doing some sort of work on the lake. The water level is very low. Apparently they plan to dredge some of the mud.

Post run meal at the Mexican place up the street. I had a so-so burrito. Mary had something that they claimed was tortilla soup. It didn't look like tortilla soup to me.

running 1:00:00 [2]

Ran at the big hill at Wyandotte. Legs felt good and I realized it is time to start doing more hills. Humid, but cloudy and temp was only mid 70s.
