orienteering 1:00:00 [2]

Checking control locations on the KU Campus. Found a few minor changes we'll need to make to the map, including a new construction area.

running 20:00 [2]

After some time to recover after downing a couple of fish tacos at La Parilla (where Damon Mar was also spotted), I relaxed a bit at Dad's (watching KU-KSU) and then dropped by the river trails for a short jog...

running 10:00 [4]

at the river trails I also threw in ten at an honest effort.

other 17 [1]

I noticed that I needed 17 seconds to hit 7-hours for the week. So, I got up from the computer and ran in place for 17 seconds.

running 1:05:00 [2]

Slow, but hilly on the rocky trail at PNS.

cycling 1:00:00 [1]

2 x 30 minutes on the trainer, including watching the first half of the KU-Oral Roberts b-ball game. Time on a trainer always goes faster when you're watching the Jayhawks.

running 1:00:00 [2]

Jogging a bit at PNS. The time passed quickly, but my legs felt heavy.

The highlight of the run was when I spooked a group of turkeys that were sitting on branches above the trail.

Note

If I were paranoid, I'd think US Air was out to get me. A long day - no work, no training.

running 20:00 [2]

Warming up by jogging to the start. The question is, did I (a) have the discipline to do a proper warm up or (b) miss the bus?

Long M21 at Batona. I had a decent race - far from perfect, but not too terrible. I started a little easy with the idea that I'd have a bit extra left for the last 5 km. I think it worked well. I ran away (or navigated away?) from Hutch. That felt good.
