running 20:00 [2]

At the Jones Family Reunion in MA. I got away for a short (but resaonably quick) jog.

Note

Travel day. We arrived at the airport at 6 a.m. and discovered all sorts of new security rules and screening processes. It was interesting to watch the security staff and travelers try to adjust to something new. I hadn't realized the extent to which I count on having a bottle of water with me on a flight.

running 25:00 [2]

Easy jogging at Bonner Park.

running 15:00 [4]

15:13 on the Bonner Park test sprint. I thought it'd be worth running the test course a second time to get a bit better time. Last week I ran it in 16:18.

I think two things made for a better time today. First, it was almost ten degrees cooler (91 versus 98). Second, I did a better job of running an even pace. I still slowed a bit on the last couple of legs, but last week I slowed a lot on the last couple of legs.

I think this will become my regular running test. I ought to be able to run it for time at least once a month through the winter.

cycling 30:00 [1]

On the trainer. While I was on the trainer, I was reading (for a change) -- looking at the rules for Omanager and studying my runners. I've got to figure out how they should train for the next couple of weeks.

running 1:15:00 [2]

Mary and I went to Parkville first thing in the a.m. Mary ran in English Landing, but I ran in PNS.

I felt really crappy for the first 30 minutes. It wasn't much fun. But, then I began to feel better and really enjoyed the rest of the run. I jogged slowly, but did a reasonable amount of climbing.
