running 20:00 [2]

Jogging around to warm up.

Middle distance race at FLO. I had a concentration lapse on the way to 2 which cost a minute or so. Randy caught up to mearound 7 or 8 and I spent the rest of the course trying to get ahead and away...I had no success with that.

I re-ran parts of the course, including the second leg (this time I didn't screw it up). I kept the pace low but my legs felt a bit tired at the end.

running 30:00 [2]

Some easy jogging on the way home from work.

running 1:00:00 [2]

Easy jogging at PNS. The last 5 minutes it was too dark to be running without a headlamp...but that is what I was doing. I climbed 540 feet.

cycling 30:00 [1]

I got home just in time to jump on the bike and watch most of the first half of the KU-Baylor basketball game.

cycling 1:30:00 [1]

For my morning workout I rode the trainer in the basement and watched the KU-Mizzou game that Mary taped for me. A nuetral basketball fan would have considered it a lousy game. But a Kansas fan might want to watch it again and again.

I'm feeling a bit beat up after the weekend: feet a bit beat up; left knee stiff/slightly swollen; and right ankle stiff/slightly swollen. I was planning to run this afternoon, but I'm leaning toward skipping that.

cycling 1:15:00 [1]

On the trainer watching the women's hockey gold medal game and then some curling.

Warming up.

Day 2. I had a better race than yesterday. Though I felt like concentrating was more work than it was yesterday. We had a fair amount of side hill orienteering. I like that type of orienteering.

I tweaked my left knee twice on the weekend (once each day). There is some light swelling, but I don't think I did any damage. It still freaks me out a bit when I straighten my left leg while orienteering.
