Went skiing at Bonner Park. Fun. My skiing-but-not-running-muscles are feeling a bit drained. I'm not sure if there'll be enough snow left to ski tomorrow. I'm not betting on it.

On the trainer in the basement. I watched some of the NW Missouri State football game on TV.

Another ski session. I shuffled around by the high school. The snow is deep (a good foot?) and it was cold out (7 F). Really nice. Venus is amazingly bright on a clear, cold night. If I had a tripod, I'd have set up a photo...but, I didn't, so I didn't.

Skiing! It snowed all day. When I got home from work, I put on my skis and shuffled around the grass at the high school. Fun. I didn't work so hard, but I probably will have some sore muscles tomorrow.

This is what I call a "Will Hawkins Session" -- I rode the trainer while watching the Jayhawks on ESPN. I did 2 x 40 minutes (taking a bit of a break to stretch and get off the bike for a few minutes at half time).

The game was fun to watch. I just wish KU was hitting free throws. St Joe won the game.

Easy cycling. Easier than usual, in fact. My legs feel fine after yesterday's run (a good sign I didn't work so hard). I'm a bit tired, though. My hip is sore from a fall on one of the slippery downhills and my ankle is sore from running.

The Possum Trot at Bluff Woods. My mind wasn't working so well today. But, moving felt ok. I walked almost all of the uphill.

Tough -- hilly, some thick areas, slippery on the downhills and side hilles, cold (13 F at the start and maybe 20 at the finish). Platt and Mook ran just under 10 min/km, which gives you an idea of how tough it was.

My legs feel surprisingly good right now.

Eric Buckley had a nice run and gained on me in the lifetime standings. Nice run, Eric.

I lucked out a bit when Dave F couldn't finish (lost glasses). Dave would almost certainly have finished ahead of me.
