An easy run on the roads at Wyandotte. Dripping humidity, but not hot so it wasn't bad. I ran up/down the hill on the west end of the dam 3 times. I climbed 580 feet. It felt like more than that. I think climbing hills on the roads is harder than climbing hills on the trails (for the same amount of climb) because the roads spread the climb out over more minutes.

Some easy cycling.

Also, a Snorkel update! Snorkel is planning to run 15-20 minutes today, after taking the last two days off.

On the trainer in the basement. No doubt, this was a "Judy" effort.

My left knee was swollen all day, enough to notice and feel a bit stiff, but not enough to hurt. Maybe it was because I was thinking about Pawtuckaway? I did some time on the trainer before icing the knee.

The usual...a jog on the trails at PNS. Some guy was jogging around and was thrilled to see the forest rats and turkeys. I felt ok. I climbed 1140 feet.

After yesterday's pitiful effort, I had low expectations. I kept the pace slow. I ran at Weston Bend, mostly on the hilly trail. I felt good. The weather - another day of mid 70s - helped. I climbed 1400 feet.

I read an article on the internet about Frode Estil's training. Last week he did a 7 hour run. Wow. Then I sat in front of the TV and watched some fairly lame coverage of the world track and field champs. Then I decided that a bit of time on the trainer might be the responsible thing to do. So, I put in some time on the trainer.

When I was done, the phone rang. Snorkel called. He'd just finised running!
