I ran on the roads at Wyandotte. I expected to feel good, but didn't. I guess it has been too long since I trained well (nearly two months), so I've got to expect to feel a bit off for a while. A cold front came through and the temp was in the low 70s (!!!!). Rain fell for the first 25 minutes of the run.I climbed 620 feet.

I was going to ride outside, but it is raining steadily and I don't like riding on wet roads. So, I put in some time on the trainer.

On the rocky hill at PNS for most of the time. I climbed until I hit 1000 feet, then shuffled/waddled back to the car. Hot, but not as bad as the last couple of days. The forecast is for low 80s and rain on Saturday!

Slow jogging at PNS. I forgot to bring my contacts to work, so I ran in my glasses. It was hot and humid and the sweat made my glasses constantly slide down my nose. I climbed 720 feet.

Feeling tired (not from running, from a lack of sleep the last few nights), but I figured some time on the trainer would make me feel good and burn off a few of those cookies I ate.

I ran red.

I felt the altitude again. On the way to the first control I thought I was going to die. I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. Then I eased off a bit. But, a couple of controls later and I started having to walk on flat areas.

When I wasn't fighting the altitude I was navigating well. Two minor mistakes -- one about a minute and one weak route choice (another minute).
