cycling 1:05:00 [1]

I took my MTB out on the roads for a while. I went out past the golf course and back. Traffic was light. It was fun -- especially when I had a tail wind. The headwind coming back was a bit of a pain.

running 1:25:00 [2]

I ran on the trail at Wyandotte. Temp was around 80, warm enough to be a bit of a chore. I ran without my altimeter, but I'd estimate the climb as a bit over 1500 feet.

cycling 30:00 [1]

An easy half hour on the trainer. Felt fine and my achilles didn't bother me all day.

running 1:00:00 [2]

I ran at Wyandotte on the way home from work. My achilles felt ok (a few twinges during the day but nothing while jogging). Someone has driven an ATV on the deer trail up the big hill. I'm sure that is a no-no as far as the park police are concerned, but it cut down some of the vegetation so I'm hoping I'll be able to run on the trail into the summer months. I climbed 1300 feet.

running 20:00 [2]

I jogged around at PNS on the flat trails below the lake. The idea was to see how my achilles felt. It felt fine. A couple of times during the day it'd feel strange while I was walking around the office. But, running felt normal.

Note

I was going to run. But, in the middle of the afternoon my right achilles started to feel sore. As I walked out of the office to my car, it felt worse -- kind of tight and a bit sore every few steps. Very strange. I'll give it a day off and if it feels ok I'll jog or bike a bit on Wednesday.

cycling 25:00 [1]

Our flight out of Newark was delayed, so we got home later than expected (and we expected to get home later than ideal). I spent the day at work in a sleepy fog. When I got home, I used the trainer enough to break a good sweat and clear my mind. Then I went to bed at about 8.

orienteering race 1:13:00 [4] ***
15c

I ran much better than on Saturday. My mind drifted a couple of times, once leading to a 1:30 boom. The rest of the run was clean. The orienteering was really fun and the course felt shorter than it was. I struggled with the rocky footing, but not as much as on Saturday. Fun course, good map, great terrain. What more could you ask for?
