orienteering 1:30:00 [2] **
ahr:142 12c

Went to Bluffwoods to pick up some of the controls from last weekend's night rogaine. Mikell Platt is in town -- on his way to the Flying Pig -- and came along for some running in the woods. I climbed 1300 feet of climb.

running 20:00 [2]

I jogged on the river trails in Lawrence on the way home (and just after eating two slices a Papa Kenos). The main idea was to begin to break in some new O' shoes. They felt good. No climb.

cycling 30:00 [1]

I felt kind of worn out. So, instead of a run I did my usual trainer routine.

running 45:00 [2]

Jogging around at PNS in a cool mix of rain and snow. I climbed 400 feet.

running 15:00 [4]

5x3 minutes at an effort that was just barely honest.

Note

A day off to let my legs rest after a lot of time on my feet this weekend.

orienteering 2:25:00 [2] **

I didn't run the 9-hour night rogaine last night. Instead, I picked up some controls today. The map was a slightly improved USGS map of Bluff Woods. Nice park. The terrain would be interesting for O' if the contour detail were better. It was fine for rogaine-style O'. But it took me a while to get used to ignoring the big reentrants (not on the map) and only paying attention to the really big reentrants. It was a lot of fun.

My legs felt a bit heavy.

I climbed 2200 feet.
