I ran at Wyandotte. The run was about 50/50 -- woods and trails. I carried the map and read it a lot in the first 45 minutes (almost line-O' intenstiy), then just glanced at it now and then for the rest of the run. After about an hour I was feeling a bit tired and hungry. Hungry? That was unexpected. I climbed 1440 feet.

On the trainer. My legs felt good and the time passed quickly. Time doesn't usually pass quickly on a trainer.

My plan was to do a hilly trail run at PNS. But I left work a few minutes late and then got stuck in traffic. I didn't have my headlamp, so I had to stop after an hour when it was too dark to run. I climbed 920 feet.

When I got home I got on the trainer. I'd taped the KU - Oklahoma State game (Fritz and I were running during the game so I didn't see it live). I watched the tape while riding the trainer. I climbed 0 feet.

I jogged around at PNS. I spent some time exploring the woods near the Park College baseball field -- interesting area. I wonder who owns the land? I felt fairly crappy running. I think it was from having a stressful work day. I hadn't seen any turkeys at PNS in a while. I saw one today. I climbed 600 feet.

3 x 3:30 at an honest effort on the trails at PNS. This was the part of the run that felt best.

Some easy time on the trainer. My legs felt a bit of yesterday's long run, but not too bad.

I rode the trainer first thing in the morning. Inspired by Peggy's magazine reading, I read a magazine -- the NY Times Sunday Magazine.

Fritz and I did some O' practice at Clinton SP. We ran a course with 14 controls. We had two maps. One was blank and one had the course. We took turns leading two controls, then exchanging the maps. We kept the pace low. The main idea was to whip Fritz into shape for running in the woods.

On trails at Clinton SP with Fritz. We took it easy. Fun.
