I ran M21 at the Alabama A-meet. I had a decent run. I wasn't orienteering sharp, but felt good physically and got around without any major booms. Nice course.
I ran on the track at Park College. I thought about the PNS trails but didn't feel like dealing with all the ice. Even the track was about 1/4 ice-covered. The plan was to run with Nadim. Nadim couldn't make it, he was in a meeting until quite late. Too bad, it'd have been fun to see if he could hang with me for some 400 repeats on the track:-)
Keith set up a night O' course at SMP. Turnout was low -- Eric S., Mary and I ran. Nadim is in town but was in meetings at work until late, so he didn't join us. The course was fun. Keith took me to parts of the map I don't think I'd ever been to before. Up to 116 controls for 2005.
Mary and I headed north until we had some snow, then spent about an hours shuffling around on our skis in St. Joseph. It felt about like a half hour on the trainer, so I'm recording it as 30 minutes at intensity 1. Fun. It'd be nice to live some place where you could ski a lot.

I ran the red at SMP. Nick Hockman set the courses and he usually sets courses that make imaginative use of the park. The temp was in the mid 30s, so the ice on the trees and ground was melting while we ran. You ended up quite wet. Up to 110 controls for the year.
