Vetting controls at Wyandotte. Dan Welch set the tapes and I was checking them. I don't have the actual map Dan plans to use. I used the orienteering map instead of Dan's map, which is an updated USGS (I think). I don't get it -- why not use the O' map? It was fun to run through the icy forest (none of the ice from the recent storm has melted). Fun, but a bit slow because places were slippery and you had to duck under a lot of ice-laden branches. I think I'm at 98 controls for the year.
I probably should have gone outside and run in the snow and ice. But I didn't. Some time on the trainer watching KU b-ball on video (a warmup for tonight's game on TV).
I ran at Wyandotte. The first hour was almost entirely in the forest, the last half-hour was about 50/50, forest and trails. I ran in the southern part of the park. Felt ok, but the drizzle near the end made me get a bit chilled. I carried the O' map and read it quite a bit.

When I got home, I got on the trainer. I watched some of the KC football game. I guess they finished the season 7-9.
