running 20:00 [2]

Jogging to the start and back to the car.

75c

A new control picking PR -- 75 controls. I set a course at Knob Noster and made my way around it at an easy pace for the first 60 minutes, then I picked it up just a bit. Really fun training. I managed to keep a good level of concentration except for a couple of small lapses. Interesting weather. Dry when we started and I was over dressed for the first ten minutes. Then it began to rain and I was dressed just right. Then the sun appeared, and the rain picked up. When the rain stopped it warmed up again. Finished just in time to listen to the last 2 minutes of the KU game on the radio -- an overtime victory for the Jayhawks!!! Rooooooock, Chaaaaaaalk, Jaaaaaaayhaaaaawk, KKKKKKKK, UUUUUUUUU.

Note

9 hours of training. No wonder I'm tired. I'm too old to be doing this.

cycling 30:00 [1]

I began the day with some easy time on the trainer. It felt good and was the perfect preparation for a relaxing with a good cup of coffee (Peets holiday blend).

running 50:00 [2]

A long, slow warm up plus about ten minutes of jogging after I'd run the O' course.

I ran a control picking course at Wyandotte and kept a decent pace. It felt good and was fun (though I boomed one control when I let my mind wander a bit and wasn't careful with what I was doing). Another warm day (60 or so).

running 20:00 [2]

I jogged around a bit. Really warm weather -- something like 68.

running 1:00:00 [2]

A hilly, but slow, run on the dark trails at PNS. Strange weather today, hazy and warm (50 or so) with a forecast of nearly 70 tomorrow. Yuck. I'd like some snow. I cut the run a bit short so I could get home a bit earlier. My plan had been to run 75-90 minutes.

cycling 30:00 [1]

Once I got home, I put in some time on the trainer.

cycling 30:00 [1]

Some easy time on the trainer, watching KU b-ball on tape.

Monday Dec 27, 2004 #

cycling 30:00 [1]

After a fairly hard week (and weekend) a couple of very easy days are called for. I put in some time on the trainer. Tomorrow will be the same thing or a complete rest day.

running 30:00 [2]

Jogging to/from my car.

I ran, re-ran actually, parts of the Possum Trot course at Weston Bend. I took it easy. The north part of the map isn't very good. The woods up there are thick and thorny, too. I wouldn't say I was having much fun for the first few controls. But once I got to the better parts of the map I had fun. I didn't push the pace. I walked some of the hills.
