I ran the red course. I took it just a bit easy and worked on taking safe routes and having a clean race. I suceeded, except for one control where something seemed to be screwy with the map. I was pretty satisfied with my race, though Robbie was something like 8 minutes ahead of me.

The final TJOC session...the "Battle O'" I was the team's driver, but also spent a good 20-30 minutes running around chasing down points. I don't know how the team did, but I we apparently didn't win.

Two sprint courses (each taking about 13 minutes). Lans Taylor set the courses which looped out and had a spectator control. The kids had a good race - with Robbie winning overall.

Note

I shadowed Nat Vasquez on the "mystery O" -- we took it easy and stopped to talk as we went.

"Tatyana's marathon" course at TJOC. The first part was rough -- thick rocky terrain with markers hung low in parts of the map I wouldn't put a control. I didn't finish the second part after turning an ankle and deciding I wasn't having much fun.

I ran a TJOC 6-point course that was used earlier in the week. The course and terrain were pretty decent. I kept a steady but not so hard pace. Fun.

I ran the "corridor" course. The plan was to shadow some of the kids. But, none of them wanted a shadow. So I just ran the course on my own.

TJOC relay (~17:10). I ran the last leg with Melissa S and Melissa H. We won. Robbie and Michael D finished a bit ahead of me (I never saw them) but mispunched. I bobbled the first control, then had a mostly clean run and passed a lot of people. Hot, but fun.

running 15:00 [2]

Jogged back to the cabins after the relay.

Packing for the Texas Junior O' Camp. I'm flying to Dallas tomorrow morning and should be running in the afternoon.

Second day. I had some mistakes, but kept them smaller than recent mistakes. I also orienteered quite well much of the time. I climbed 940 (24/56/20). ST=625.
