O' practice at Rockcrusher. Gene, Dick, Nancy, Bob, Fritz and I met at Rockcrusher (Mary slept late). Gene and I hung tapes, I took the odd controls, he took the even. I kept the pace reasonably easy. I got a couple of close looks at the Bald Eagles. Climb=700 feet. ST=136.

running 30:00 [2]

Gene and I jogged easily in the woods after hanging tapes. We expected to see the others, but didn't. Climb = 300 feet.

cycling 30:00 [1]

When I got home, I spent some time on the trainer in the basement (watching a basketball game).

Some easy time on the trainer. My achilles felt a tad tight yesterday, so I wanted to take a day off from running today. Needless to say -- no climb tonight.

I ran at PNS. I stopped at the park on the way home from work and ran till it got dark. After a good, slow warm up, I ran 5 x Riss Lake Hill. I took it quite slow up the hill. Lots of forest rats and turkeys at PNS tonight. I climbed a total of 740 feet during the session (the Riss Lake hill is 100 feet).

PTOC local event at Prairie Center. The course was fun and all the controls sat in the right place. I had a decent run. My mind wandered a bit after about 25-30 minutes, but I noticed it reasonably quickly and paid attention to what I was doing. Prairie Center is quite easy navigation, but the knee to head high grasses make for some interesting route choices and make it a bit tiring. ST=127.

running 40:00 [2]

Fritz and I jogged around the orange course.
