I ran at Wyandotte in the snow. Fun. I set a course and found a few points, but most of the time I was just running around the forest, trails and snow-covered roads. The annual "Chili run" was in the park at the same time I was running. I spotted lots of runners on the roads. I was the only person in the forest. As I ran I wondered if Gene and Dee were at the chili run. When I got home and checked Attackpoint, I saw that they didn't make the trip. That's probably a good decision as some of the roads were slippery. ST=319.

Tomorrow I will try running. Today I spent some time on the trainer then rewarded myself with a veggie burrito.

Some time on the trainer. I'll give running another try on Saturday.

Night O' practice at SMP. Mary set a memory course. It was fun. We had a good turnout given the weather. Dan, Keith and I ran the O'. Mike S. and Dick skied around the park. I ran with my big heavy knee brace. I'm not sure it was necessary, but I felt fairly confident running with it. My knee doesn't feel any worse after running than it did before. ST=313.

running 20:00 [2]

I took a short jog to see how my right knee would feel. I wore a neoprene knee brace. I had a couple of uncomfortable steps, but I think it wasn't too bad. I should be able to jog at tomorrow's night O' (though I'll probably wear my big heavy knee brace for the night O'). The run was fine. The weather was not what most people would call "nice" -- it was a degree or two above freezing, windy and a steady rain fell. The rain has since turned to sleet and should become snow any minute.

Note

My right knee felt better and better throughout the day. If it keeps getting better I'll try to jog for 20 minutes tomorrow. If not, I'll take another day or more off. I'm hoping I can run Wednesday's night O' practice.

The Trot at Weston Bend. The terrain was tougher than I expected. We climbed a lot of hills and ran through a lot of thick and thorny stuff. I ran so-so. I blew the skips and had a couple of weak route choices and missed on one leg. But it was a lot of fun. Swampfox won, followed by Dave Frei, Nadim and then me. I can do a lot better (though I guess I can do a lot worse, too). I "tweaked" my right knee near the end. We'll see how it feels tomorrow. ST=308.
