orienteering 50:00 [4]
ahr:169 12c

PTOC red course at Burr Oak. Duck L. set the course with a new area for the start. Lots of trail running (which was fine because some of the forest was not much fun to run in). I ran well and found all the controls. Rick and Lisa Oliver were at the meet. They walked the yellow (Lisa's first time) and finished in just under three hours...turns out the stopped at the visitor center to see the exhibits. We had a nice meal afterwards. ST=265.

I jogged around the yellow course (a fairly brutal yellow if you ask me) as a warm-down.

Some easy cycling on the trainer. Today was the last of five lazy days.

Snorkel and I ran a night O' course at SMP. We ran together and chatted except for the last minute or two going to each control. Near the end my light started dimming. I guess the battery might be on its last legs. I think I got it 5 years ago. I'm not sure how long it shoudl last. The battery I've got is an SLA. Maybe I should buy an NiMH battery. I wonder if my charger will work with an NiMH battery or if I'd need a new charger. Time to do some research I suppose. Amazingly warm tonight (about 70). ST=253.

Just a bit of time on the trainer.

cycling 30:00 [1]

My legs felt fine, but an easy day seems wise. I did enough riding to break a decent sweat.

running 1:40:00 [2]

Jogging at Wyandotte. Most of the time I was on trails, but I spent some time in the forest and on roads...

While running at Wyandotte I did 6 x mini O' courses (three controls and about 600-800 meters each). I ran hard, but had a bit of trouble with the downhills. I need to work on my downhill running. I can get down the hills, but I can't keep a hard effort and get down the hills. ST=248.
