Gene and I did some O' intervals at Clinton. I'd give him a minute lead and then we'd meet in two controls. Then Gene would give me a minute lead and we'd meet after two controls. It worked well -- kept both of us pushing hard. My legs felt mostly ok, but I struggled on every uphill (and fighting the stiff headwind crossing a couple of fields). It was really warm (maybe 60?). Two days ago I was running in several inches of snow.
I spent some time on the trainer. My legs felt a bit worn today (especially in the morning and after sitting at my desk for a while). Cycling felt good and by the evening my legs felt good. We'll see how O' training goes tomorrow.
I took a day off work and decided to rerun the Possum Trot (not skipping any controls). It was bone dry in KC, but Knob Noster was covered by a few inches of snow (check out the photo. The snow slowed me down (and made me work harder than I'd planned). But, running in the snow was a lot of fun. I was quite tired (and hungry) the last 30 minutes.
I drew a line O' course at Weston Bend and jogged around it. I took it pretty easy, especially on the hills.

When we got home from Weston Bend, I hopped on the trainer for a few minutes (watching college football -- not as good as basketball, but better than Seinfeld re-runs).
My feet don't feel so good. I think I did too much running on hard surfaces (trails mostly) in O' shoes. O' shoes just don't offer the padding my old feet seem to need.
Jogging from the car to the start and then back to the car after the O' practice.

I ran a blue course at Blue and Grey. The park was hit hard by the ice storm last winter. The woods are fairly trashed. But, the horseriders have cleared most of the trails. I got tired after about 70 minutes.
