At Weston Bend, I did some hills. 5x 4:39-4:44 up the big hill from the bridge over the creek. It felt ok.

I rolled around the bunny loop. I saw two strange things. First, I saw a burned out SUV. I'd seen the smoke and flames when I was driving home from Weston Bend. It was within 50 meters of the place I saw the duck a month or so ago. Second, I saw a stray dog on Amity. It was a strange looking dog -- short white hair and huge ears. The ears where way out of proportion to the rest of the dog.
Thursday night's O' session was a mtb ride on the river trails in Lawrence. I didn't bring my mtb, so I just ran the trails. I threw in ten minutes at an honest effort. It felt very good (which typically means I wasn't going as fast as usual!). After the run/mtb ride, a few of us adjourned to Tropicana.
My knee was a bit swollen this morning. At Harriman last week, I fell backwards, landing with my left leg extended straight in front of me. I guess I sprained the knee. It has been stiffer than normal the last few days. It was getting better. This morning it was worse. I usually run on grass. Yesterday I ran on sidewalks and roads. Maybe the hard surface caused some extra stress. I took it easy today and tomorrow will either ride my mtb or jog on the trails.
We've got a heat advisory and an ozone warning. It wasn't a good day for a run, so I just did an easy bike ride. Tomorrow should be another bad day. I'll see how it feels and might just do another easy ride.
Another O' session at Harriman. I ran around a bit and then did one of the WOC 93 short qualifying courses. The course was a lot of fun. I passed through the Beaver Pond Campground but didn't spot any of the O' campers. I also ran along the Lake Welch Beach and saw more fat people in swim suits than I ever wanted to.
